Join the Team: 2025-26 WDV Track & Field Tryouts December 8–10 and Dec 12!

Update!! Due to end of semester activities we have added December 12 from 6-8pm as a tryout date, attendance at any two tryout dates is mandatory.

Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down — it’s time to lace up and hit the track! Our 2025-2026 Track & Field season is right around the corner, and we’re holding open tryouts next week for all students interested in sprints, distance, hurdles, jumps, or multi-events.

Tryout Details

Dates: Monday, December 8 – Wednesday, December 10, 2025 and Friday, December 12, 2025
- Attendance at two tryout dates is mandatory.
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. each day
Location: El Segundo High School Outdoor Track – 640 Main Street, El Segundo CA
What to bring: Running shoes, water bottle, and weather-appropriate workout clothes.

No experience? No problem. We take beginners, returning athletes, and everyone in between. Coaches will be evaluating speed, endurance, technique, and (most importantly) your willingness to work hard and be a great teammate.

Important Notes

You must have a current physical on file with the athletic training office to participate.
Arrive 15 minutes early on Day 1 for check-in and warm-up.
Tryouts are three days so we can see you in multiple events and conditions — attendance at two tryout dates is mandatory

Whether you want to chase PRs, qualify for championships, or just stay in shape with an awesome group of people, we want you here. This is your chance to be a part of something special.

See you on the track December 8–10. Let’s make this season the best one yet!

Weekly Announcements

Calling all student-athletes ready to make a splash! Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics is gearing up for another exciting season in the pool. If you’re passionate about swimming and want to represent the Wolves in competition, mark your calendar — tryouts for the 2025–26 Boys and Girls Swim Teams are right around the corner!

📅 Tryout Dates (Both Days Mandatory):

Wednesday, December 3 — 4:15–6:00 PM
Thursday, December 4 — 4:15–6:00 PM

📍 Location: City of El Segundo Wiseburn Unified School District Aquatics Center
201 N Douglas Street, El Segundo

These two sessions are mandatory, so be sure to attend both days to be considered for the team.

Requirements:

Must be able to swim at least 200 yards (8 laps) without stopping

Must be able to swim all 4 strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle

Bring Swimsuit, Goggles, Cap and Towel

Bring your best effort, a positive attitude, and plenty of energy!

🏐 Boys Volleyball Tryouts Announced for the 2025–26 Season!

The Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics Department is excited to announce open practices and tryouts for the 2025–26 Boys Volleyball season!

Whether you’re a returning player or brand new to the sport, this is your chance to get involved, sharpen your skills, and join a program that’s built on teamwork, energy, and competition.

Open Practices:

Players are encouraged to attend open practices leading up to tryouts. These sessions are designed to help athletes get comfortable on the court, work on fundamentals, and meet the coaching staff.

We’re excited to kick off another season of Wiseburn Da Vinci Boys Soccer! This year’s program is shaping up to be a competitive and rewarding experience for our student-athletes, and we can’t wait to get started.
