Girls Beach Volleyball – Make-Up Tryouts Announcement
Due to weather conditions cutting the original tryout short, Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Beach Volleyball will hold a make-up tryout for all interested athletes.
Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2026
Time: 4:15–5:30 p.m.
Location: Dockweiler Youth Center Courts

If any athlete needs a ride to tryouts, Coach Darryl Kim will be driving the Da Vinci School vans. Please email him directly at darrylkim@davincischools.org to arrange transportation.
Athletes should arrive a few minutes early, dressed and ready to play. This session will allow coaches to complete evaluations for the upcoming season.

Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics is proud to celebrate an incredible achievement by our Girls Volleyball program, as the varsity team’s success has been recognized at the CIF Southern Section level.
Congratulations to Head Coach Mylah Wessels, who has been named CIF Southern Section Division 6 Coach of the Year. Coach Wessels’ leadership, commitment, and dedication to developing both athletes and young women were evident throughout the season. Her ability to build a competitive, connected, and resilient team played a key role in Wiseburn Da Vinci’s historic run and championship success.
We are also thrilled to recognize Maleah Faust, who earned CIF Southern Section Division 6 Player of the Year honors. Maleah’s standout performance, consistency, and impact on the court set her apart, and this recognition reflects the hard work she put in all season long.
In addition, Alina Hunter and Zenya Hunter received All-CIF Southern Section Division 6 special recognition, highlighting the depth of talent and strength of the Wiseburn Da Vinci roster. Their contributions were instrumental to the team’s success and exemplify the excellence of our student-athletes.
These honors are a testament to the hard work of our athletes, coaching staff, and the supportive Wiseburn Da Vinci community. Congratulations to Coach Wessels, Maleah, Alina, and Zenya on these well-deserved accolades. We are proud to celebrate this moment and look forward to continued success for our Girls Volleyball program.

Update!! Due to end of semester activities we have added December 12 from 6-8pm as a tryout date, attendance at any two tryout dates is mandatory.
Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down — it’s time to lace up and hit the track! Our 2025-2026 Track & Field season is right around the corner, and we’re holding open tryouts next week for all students interested in sprints, distance, hurdles, jumps, or multi-events.
No experience? No problem. We take beginners, returning athletes, and everyone in between. Coaches will be evaluating speed, endurance, technique, and (most importantly) your willingness to work hard and be a great teammate.
Whether you want to chase PRs, qualify for championships, or just stay in shape with an awesome group of people, we want you here. This is your chance to be a part of something special.
See you on the track December 8–10. Let’s make this season the best one yet!
