Join the Team: 2025-26 WDV Track & Field Tryouts December 8–10!

Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down — it’s time to lace up and hit the track! Our 2025-2026 Track & Field season is right around the corner, and we’re holding open tryouts next week for all students interested in sprints, distance, hurdles, jumps, or multi-events.

Tryout Details

• Dates: Monday, December 8 – Wednesday, December 10, 2025
• Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. each day
• Location: El Segundo High School Outdoor Track – 640 Main Street, El Segundo CA
• What to bring: Running shoes, water bottle, and weather-appropriate workout clothes.
• Tryout Registration: 2025-26 WDV Track and Field Tryout Registration

No experience? No problem. We take beginners, returning athletes, and everyone in between. Coaches will be evaluating speed, endurance, technique, and (most importantly) your willingness to work hard and be a great teammate.

Important Notes

• You must have a current physical on file with the athletic training office to participate.
• Arrive 15 minutes early on Day 1 for check-in and warm-up.
• Tryouts are three days so we can see you in multiple events and conditions — attendance all three days is strongly encouraged.

Whether you want to chase PRs, qualify for championships, or just stay in shape with an awesome group of people, we want you here. This is your chance to be a part of something special.

See you on the track December 8–10. Let’s make this season the best one yet!

⚠️ Important Reminder:

All student-athletes must have an up-to-date sports physical uploaded to Home Campus before tryouts. Players without a cleared physical will not be permitted to participate. More information HERE.

We’re sorry to announce that today’s beach volleyball tryouts have been canceled. Due to the current weather and poor beach conditions, it isn’t safe or practical to hold tryouts as planned.

Winds, uneven sand, compacted sand on the courts make play unsafe for athletes, coaches, and staff. While we were hopeful the conditions would improve, the beach simply isn’t ready for a fair or productive session today.

Good news, though:

🌤️ Tryouts for tomorrow, 11/19/25, are still on as scheduled. We’ll continue to monitor conditions, but everything is looking good so far.

Rescheduling:

We are currently working to reschedule the missed tryout date and will announce the new date as soon as it’s confirmed. Please stay tuned for updates on our website and social channels.

Thanks for your understanding, flexibility, and continued enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing everyone on the sand soon! 🏐🌊
