Attention those interested in attending the WDV Girls Soccer Info Meeting previously slated for next week. Unfortunately our WDV Girls Soccer meeting must be rescheduled due to a facilities conflict with the Da Vinci Design Back to School Night event on 9/10/24.

We are actively working with the facilities team to secure a new day, time, and location for the meeting. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we finalize the details.

Girls Basketball Tryouts – September 5th!

Attention all interested girls 🏀 players! 🏆 The moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here: Girls Basketball Tryouts are just around the corner! Mark your calendars and set your alarms because tryouts are happening on Thursday, September 5th, at the WDV gym from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Here’s What You Need to Know:

1. Physicals and Athletic Clearance

Before you hit the court, make sure you’ve got your physicals completed. For detailed information on how to get your physicals and athletic clearance, please check out the post on how to get your physical for FREE here. Your health and safety are our top priority, so don’t skip this important step!

2. Dress Code

Come dressed for action! Here’s the attire you should wear:

T-shirt (no low-cut V-neck shirts, please)
Shorts (no sweatpants or stretch pants)
Athletic shoes (ensure they are comfortable and suitable for playing basketball)

Please Note: For your safety and comfort, jewelry is not allowed during tryouts.

3. What to Bring

Positive Attitude: Show up ready to give your best effort and demonstrate your skills.
Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key during intense practice sessions.
Energy: Be prepared to work hard and have fun!

4. Why You Should Try Out

WDV Cross Country Tryouts – August 27th and 28th

Are you ready to get outside and push your limits? The Cross Country season is just around the corner, and we’re gearing up for an exciting year! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to challenge yourself, we encourage you to come out for tryouts. Pre-register for tryouts with this form 2024-25 Cross Country Tryouts.

Open practice starts Monday, August 19-23 (not mandatory). Meet at the the WDV Gym entrance. No practice on August 26.

Tryout Dates and Times:

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Boys Basketball Tryouts – Saturday, August 24

Attention all aspiring basketball players! The boys’ basketball team is gearing up for the upcoming season, and we are excited to announce that tryouts will be held on Saturday, August 24, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the WDV Gym. If you’re ready to showcase your skills and commitment, this is your chance! All players should come prepared with the proper athletic attire, including:

FREE Sports Physicals at EXER Urgent Care NOW

As we gear up for another exciting Wiseburn + Da Vinci Athletics year filled with sports and competition, it’s crucial to make sure you’re eligible to play. For all students who are planning or considering participating on athletics teams during the 2024-25 school year, here’s everything you need to know to get started:

Why You Need a Physical

First things first: to participate in any sport including TRY-OUTS, you need a valid physical. This physical is good for 365 days, so make sure you’re up to date!

The Clearance Process

In addition to your physical, you must complete the clearance process to be eligible to participate in school sports. Follow these steps:

Create an athlete profile on CIF Home Campus. https://www.athleticclearance.com/ All student-athletes must have an account in order to access all CIF forms, attend tryouts, participate on a DV Athletics team.

You must have your physical completed and uploaded BEFORE tryouts. Clearance forms can be found on: https://www.athleticclearance.com/

You must download and print the physical form and take it to a doctor for your athletic physical to be completed and then upload your signed form to your account. No paper copies are accepted. Your own physician can complete, or you can access this FREE resource at any Exer Urgent Care.

All students planning to try out for any sport must have a CIF Home Campus account created and a physical form uploaded BEFORE tryouts. Read More>

Why It Matters

Getting cleared on time is crucial. Without your physical and completed clearance, you won’t be able to participate in tryouts, practices, or games. Don’t let paperwork hold you back from being part of the team and enjoying the sport you love!
