🏐 2025-26 Girls Volleyball Tryouts – WDV Athletics 🏐

Are you ready to hit the court and be part of the Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Volleyball program? Tryouts for the 2025 season are just around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome both returning players and new faces to the gym!

TRYOUT FORMS

PRIOR TO TRYOUTS:

1. Registration Form
Please use the Google form to fill in information BEFORE tryouts:

2. Required Forms

The following two documents must be signed by you and your parent/guardian BEFORE you can try out.

1. Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form;
2. Wiseburn Da Vinci Volleyball Player Tryout Conduct Consent Form.

Please bring these completed forms to tryouts.

TRYOUT DATES & TIMES

📍 Location: WDV Gym

201 N. Douglas St., El Segundo, CA 90245

🔹 CURRENT DV HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Tryouts will take place after school on the following dates:

Pre-tryout clinic: Monday, May 12th – 4:15PM to 6:15PM
Tryouts: Tuesday, May 13th – 4:15PM to 6:15PM
Tryouts: Wednesday, May 14th – 4:15PM to 6:15PM

🔹 INCOMING & TRANSFER STUDENTS

Summer tryouts will be held on the following dates:

Pre-tryout clinic: Monday, July 14th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM
Pre-tryout clinic: Tuesday, July 15th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM
Tryouts: Wednesday, July 16th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM
Tryouts: Thursday, July 17th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM

🚨 Please Note:

Tryouts are CLOSED—only student-athletes are allowed in the gym during tryouts. No spectators permitted.

WDV Girls Beach Volleyball Tryouts

Attention all interested girls beach volleyball players! 🏆 The moment you’ve been waiting for is almost here: Girls Beach Volleyball Tryouts are just around the corner! Mark your calendars and set your alarms because tryouts are happening on Wednesday, January 29th, at the Dockweiler Youth Center Courts from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Pre-register here (2024-25 Tryout Registration) or scan the QR code:

Here’s What You Need to Know:

1. Physicals and Athletic Clearance

Before you hit the court, make sure you’ve got your physicals completed. For detailed information on how to get your physicals and athletic clearance, please click here. Your health and safety are our top priority, so don’t skip this important step!

2. Why You Should Try Out

This is your chance to be part of an amazing team, develop your skills, and make new friends. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, tryouts are the perfect opportunity to showcase your talent and passion for beach volleyball.

Important Athletics Reminders for the week of 12/2 – 12/7!

Swim Team Tryouts

Date: December 3rd and 4th (must attend both days)
Time: 4:15pm – 5:30pm
Location: Wiseburn El Segundo Pool Deck
What to Bring: Swimmers must bring a swimsuit, goggles, cap (optional), towel and warm clothes. and water bottle.
Must be proficient in all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke) and must be able to swim 200 yards without stopping and have a current sports physical on file.
Pre-register: WDV Swim Team Tryouts.

Track and Field Tryouts

Date:

GIRLS ONLY – 12/3/24 from 5:00-6:30pm
BOYS ONLY – 12/4/24 from 5:00-6:30pm
MAKE UP SESSION – 12/5/24 from 5:00-6:30pm

WDV Cross Country Tryouts – August 27th and 28th

Are you ready to get outside and push your limits? The Cross Country season is just around the corner, and we’re gearing up for an exciting year! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to challenge yourself, we encourage you to come out for tryouts. Pre-register for tryouts with this form 2024-25 Cross Country Tryouts.

Open practice starts Monday, August 19-23 (not mandatory). Meet at the the WDV Gym entrance. No practice on August 26.

Tryout Dates and Times:

When: August 27th & 28th
Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Where: Meet at the WDV Gym

Be sure to use this link to get your sports physical done for FREE. Physicals must be completed BEFORE tryouts.

Team announcements will be made August 30 and practices start September 2.

Cross country isn’t just about running; it’s about building endurance, mental toughness, and camaraderie with your teammates. Every stride brings you closer to personal goals and new friendships, all while enjoying the outdoors and testing your limits.
