🏀 Playoff Time at Home: Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Basketball Hosts Huntington Beach!

It’s playoff season, and our Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Varsity Basketball team is ready to make history once again!

This Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 PM, the Wolves will host the Huntington Beach Oilers in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Playoffs. The game will be played at home, giving our team the incredible advantage of competing in front of their own fans.

This marks a huge milestone for the program, as the girls continue to build on a historic season filled with hard work, resilience, and big wins. Earning a spot in the Division 3 bracket is a testament to the dedication of these student-athletes and their coaching staff.

Now it’s time for our community to show up and show out. Playoff games bring a different level of intensity, and home court energy can make all the difference. Wear your school colors, bring the noise, and help create an unforgettable atmosphere in the gym.

Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Basketball Ranks #2 in Pioneer League and Qualifies for Playoffs!

🏀 🐺⚡️The Wolves are in the Playoffs!!! 🏀 🐺⚡️

What an incredible season for our Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Varsity Basketball team! The Wolves have officially finished second in the Pioneer League and earned a playoff spot for the first time in program history — a huge milestone for our school and our athletes.

This year’s accomplishments speak for themselves:

✨ Norwalk Tournament Champions
✨ Second Place in the Pioneer League (highest finish in program history)
✨ 16–11 Regular Season Record (best in program history)
✨ Strength of Schedule Ranking: #16, competing in five tournaments across Southern California

Tonight Is More Than a Game — It’s Senior Night 💙🏀

Tonight, we’re not just cheering on a basketball team—we’re celebrating a season, a journey, and a group of seniors who have helped take the Wiseburn Da Vinci Wolves Girls Basketball to new heights.

This year’s team has made incredible strides. Through hard work, determination, and trust in one another, they’ve climbed the standings and are competing harder than ever. Every game reflects their growth, their chemistry, and the commitment of a coaching staff that has poured into this program.

Senior Night is a chance for our community to pause and recognize the athletes who have led the way. These seniors have set the tone, shown what leadership looks like, and helped build the momentum that’s making this season so special. Their impact goes far beyond the scoreboard.

Due to weather conditions cutting the original tryout short, Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Beach Volleyball will hold a make-up tryout for all interested athletes.

Weekly Announcements

Join the Team: 2025-26 WDV Track & Field Tryouts December 8–10 and Dec 12!

Update!! Due to end of semester activities we have added December 12 from 6-8pm as a tryout date, attendance at any two tryout dates is mandatory.

Winter is here, but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down — it’s time to lace up and hit the track! Our 2025-2026 Track & Field season is right around the corner, and we’re holding open tryouts next week for all students interested in sprints, distance, hurdles, jumps, or multi-events.

Tryout Details

Dates: Monday, December 8 – Wednesday, December 10, 2025 and Friday, December 12, 2025
- Attendance at two tryout dates is mandatory.
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. each day
Location: El Segundo High School Outdoor Track – 640 Main Street, El Segundo CA
What to bring: Running shoes, water bottle, and weather-appropriate workout clothes.

No experience? No problem. We take beginners, returning athletes, and everyone in between. Coaches will be evaluating speed, endurance, technique, and (most importantly) your willingness to work hard and be a great teammate.

Important Notes

You must have a current physical on file with the athletic training office to participate.
Arrive 15 minutes early on Day 1 for check-in and warm-up.
Tryouts are three days so we can see you in multiple events and conditions — attendance at two tryout dates is mandatory

Whether you want to chase PRs, qualify for championships, or just stay in shape with an awesome group of people, we want you here. This is your chance to be a part of something special.

See you on the track December 8–10. Let’s make this season the best one yet!
