Wiseburn Da Vinci Archery welcomed a team of students with special needs from Saiki International Archery Land in Hiroshima, Japan for a special collaboration with the Friendship Foundation. This marks the third year they have had the honor of hosting their archers at practice, and this year,  they were able expand the event with even more activities and a deeper partnership. The event was facilitated by Saiki International Archery Land and the Friendship Foundation, with our WDV Archery team proudly serving as hosts for both local students and our international guests.

Activities for the team and visitors included:

  • A hands-on archery station, where they received coaching and learned the basics of archery.
  • A practice observation station, where they watched an archer who will be a part of the LA 2028 Paralympic team from Japan.

Wiseburn Da Vinci Baseball Upsets Carson Colts!

Wiseburn Da Vinci Baseball Hunts Down Big Win Over Carson

The Wiseburn Da Vinci Varsity baseball team showed their strength and determination with a electrifying 12-7 victory over Carson Varsity Colts.

Horton’s Grand Slam Ignites the Pack The Wolves struck first with Lonnie Jackson driving in an early run. The energy exploded in the sixth inning when Xavier Horton launched a grand slam, fueling an 11-run surge.

Relentless Offense James Mara followed with another grand slam, showcasing the team’s power at the plate. Horton, Mara, Beckett Miller, and Nathaniel Barba each collected two hits as the Wolves dominated offensively.

Lockdown Pitching and Defense Nathan Buendia set the tone on the mound, allowing just two runs over three and one-third innings with two strikeouts. Beckett Miller took over in relief, keeping Carson’s offense at bay. The Wolves’ defense was rock solid, committing zero errors, with Deklen Emmersen making nine crucial plays.

The Hunt Continues That’s two big wins in a row for WDV Varsity Baseball. With momentum on their side, Wiseburn Da Vinci is ready for their next challenge against Lawndale on Thursday.

Freshman Jeannine Gandara made history, breaking WDV’s all-time 2-mile record and becoming the first freshman ever to hold the 2-mile all-time school record. Like a young wolf stepping into the lead, Jeannine ran with intensity, setting a new standard of how to hunt this track season. The pack always follows the strongest, and this rising star has shown she belongs among the elite!

Leaping Towards Greatness!
Dion Radcliff soared through the air, landing himself second all-time in WDV history for the long jump. With each explosive bound, he showed that our pack is built for power and precision. The hunt demands speed, strength, and fearlessness and Dion’s performance proves he has all three.
