What to Bring: Swimmers must bring a swimsuit, goggles, cap (optional), towel and warm clothes. and water bottle.
Must be proficient in all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke) and must be able to swim 200 yards without stopping and have a current sports physical on file.
Pre-register: WDV Swim Team Tryouts.

4th Annual WDV Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament: November 25-30

🏀 Get ready for an exciting week of high school basketball as Wiseburn Da Vinci Varsity Basketball hosts the 4th Annual Holiday Classic from November 25 to 30 in the WDV Gym (201 N. Douglas)! Local varsity teams will battle it out in a competitive showcase of skill and teamwork.

📅 Schedule:

Games run November 25-27 and November 29-30.
Play begins at 3:00pm
No games on November 28 in observance of the holiday.

Our team, fresh off an impressive 3-1 performance in recent tournament play, is ready to bring the energy and keep the momentum going on home court. Varsity played for 3rd place versus traditional powerhouse Crossroads High School and won 63-53 on November 23. They also had victories versus Taft and Palisades with their only loss coming in a tough loss 43-50 to eventual champion St. Monica. The team was lead through the week by two seniors, Ahmose Daniels and Caleb Ortiz and All Tournament selection Jameson Johnson.

Join us for this thrilling event and cheer on your team as they take on top local talent. Let’s pack the gym and make this year’s Holiday Classic unforgettable!

Wiseburn Da Vinci Cheer Teams Heading to Jamz Cheer Competition in Anaheim!

We are thrilled to announce that both our JV and Varsity cheer teams will be competing in the Jamz Cheer Competition on Thursday, November 23, at the Anaheim Convention Center! This highly anticipated event brings together some of the best cheer squads from across the region, and our talented teams are ready to shine.

- Varsity: 9:39am
Where: Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA

Under the dedicated guidance of their coaches, the cheerleaders have been putting in countless hours of practice, perfecting their routines, stunts, and tumbles to bring the crowd to their feet. From synchronized moves to high-energy performances, they’re ready to represent the Wiseburn Da Vinci Wolves with pride and spirit.

This competition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase their skills, teamwork, and school pride. Let’s rally behind our JV and Varsity cheer squads as they take the stage and aim for the top!

🏃 Who Should Try Out?

All Da Vinci high school students are welcome! We’re looking for motivated athletes interested in competing in events like:

Sprints: 100m, 200m, and 400m
Distance Running: 800m, 1600m, and 3200m
Hurdles: 110/100/300m
Field Events: Long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus

No matter your skill level, we encourage everyone to try out. Track and field offers opportunities to develop your speed, strength, and endurance.

Proper Attire: Comfortable athletic clothing and running shoes
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated during the tryouts
Completed Physical Form: Must be submitted prior to tryouts

Swim Team Tryouts December 3-4!

Join the WDV Swim Team! Tryouts Coming Up!

Are you passionate about swimming or curious to see if you’ve got what it takes to make waves in the pool? Now’s your chance! The Wiseburn Da Vinci swim team is holding tryouts, and we’re looking for motivated athletes to join us this season. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or just starting, we invite everyone to come and give it a shot.

Tryout Details:

Date: December 3rd and 4th (must attend both days)
Time: 4:15pm – 5:30pm
Location: Wiseburn El Segundo Pool Deck
What to Bring: Swimmers must bring a swimsuit, goggles, cap (optional), towel and warm clothes. and water bottle.

What to Expect and Requirements:

During tryouts, you’ll be assessed on your skills in various strokes, endurance, and overall swim fitness. Coaches will be evaluating swimmers on technique, speed, and potential for improvement. Each swimmer is required to be proficient in all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke) and must be able to swim 200 yards without stopping.

Why Join the Swim Team?

Improve Your Skills: With dedicated training sessions and experienced coaches, you’ll improve your technique, speed, and endurance.
Be Part of a Team: Make new friends, push each other to be better, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team.
