It’s a packed week for Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics. Girls Volleyball, Girls Flag Football, and Cross Country are all in action, with two home games on the calendar and a Senior Night you won’t want to miss. Plus, winter and spring tryout dates are officially here.

Tuesday night belongs to our Girls Volleyball seniors. We’ll honor the Class of 2027 before the Wolves take on Peninsula at home in the WDV Gym.

These athletes have given years of hard work, early practices, and team spirit to this program. Come early, bring signs, and fill the stands to send them off right.

 

 

Announcements: 2026-27 Tryouts

Two programs open tryouts this month. Registration is required for both; scan the QR code on each team’s flyer to sign up.

Physicals required: Every student-athlete must have an up-to-date sports physical uploaded and cleared through the Home Campus Portal BEFORE tryouts. Athletes without a cleared physical will not be able to participate.

Wolves Weekly: September 28 – October 3

A new week brings a new slate of action for Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics, capped off by a jam-packed Saturday. Here’s everything you need to know.

On the Road to Start the Week

Tuesday, Sept. 29: Girls Volleyball vs. North
Our Wolves travel to North, with JV/FS starting at 3:30 PM and Varsity following at 5:00 PM.

Thursday, Oct. 1: A Busy Day, Home and Away

  • Girls Flag Football vs. West — our team heads to West, with Varsity kicking off at 3:30 PM and JV at 4:45 PM.
  • Girls Volleyball vs. Torrance — we’re back home in the WDV Gym, with JV/FS at 3:30 PM and Varsity at 5:00 PM.

Saturday, Oct. 3: A Full Slate of Wolves Action

Saturday is the biggest day of the week, with four events across the county.

Girls Flag Football vs. Serra — Home game at WDV Field. JV plays at 5:30 PM, followed by Varsity at 7:00 PM.

Cross Country at the Central Park Invitational — Our runners compete, with the start time still TBA.

Boys Beach Volleyball JV Pairs Championship — Our JV pairs head to Hermosa Beach Pier for the championship. Time TBA.

How to Follow Along

Look for the Wolf logo on the schedule graphic to spot our home games — this week that’s Girls Volleyball on Thursday and Girls Flag Football on Saturday. As always, times can shift, so it’s worth double-checking closer to game day, especially for the TBA events.

WDV Athletics Weekly Game Schedule and Announcements – 9/21 – 9/26

It’s a big week for Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics! Three home games, a Saturday tournament, and a couple of away events. Here’s what’s on the calendar.

Home Games: Come Pack the Stands

🏈 Tuesday, Sept. 22: Girls Flag Football vs. Animo
Kick things off at WDV Field. Varsity takes the field at 7:00 PM.

🏈🏐 Thursday, Sept. 24: A Double Header Night at Home
Thursday is the night to be on campus.

  • 🏈 Girls Flag Football vs. South at WDV Field. JV starts at 5:30 PM, followed by Varsity at 7:00 PM.

  • 🏐 Girls Volleyball vs. West in the WDV Gym. JV/FS plays at 3:30 PM, followed by Varsity at 5:00 PM.

You can catch volleyball first and then walk over to the field for flag football under the lights. Wear your blue and get loud for our Wolves!

🏐👟🏐 Saturday, Sept. 26: Wolves on the Road

Saturday is packed, with our teams competing at three different locations.

🏐 Girls Volleyball Tournament
Both teams start bright and early at 8:00 AM. JV will be at Lakewood and FS will be at Venice.

👟 Cross Country at Griffith Park
Our runners take on the Bellmarine Sacred Heart Invitational at Griffith Park. The start time is still TBA, so check back for updates.

🏐 Boys Beach Volleyball Open Pairs Event
Our boys head to the Manhattan Beach Pier, with Varsity playing at 8:30 AM and JV at 2:30 PM.

Home games are marked with the Wolf logo on the schedule graphic, so look for it if you’re planning to attend. Times and locations can change, so double-check before you head out, especially for away events and the cross country start time.

Making a Splash: Swim Conditioning & Water Polo Interest Meeting

Wiseburn Da Vinci Athletics is exploring something new for the 2026-27 season — and we want to hear from you. We’re gauging interest in bringing pre season swim conditioning and water polo to WDV Athletics, and it all starts with a conversation.

Interest & Info Meeting: Monday, September 22

Join us to learn what it would take to bring water polo to Wiseburn Da Vinci, and to help us understand how much interest there is in the WDV community.

No experience necessary — this is an open conversation, not a tryout. Whether you’ve never touched a water polo ball or you’ve been dreaming of this program for years, we want you in the room.

  • What launching a water polo program at Wiseburn Da Vinci would actually require
  • The steps to make it happen, from here to a first season
  • Fall/winter preseason swim conditioning, open to anyone looking to get in the water and start building fitness
