2026-27 Girls Volleyball Tryouts

  • Current DV High School Students:
    • Pre-Tryout Clinic – Tuesday, May 26th (4:15 to 6:15 p.m.)
    • Tryout – Wednesday, May 27th (4:15 to 6:15 p.m.)
    • Tryout – Thursday, May 28th (4:15 to 6:15 p.m.)
     
    Incoming & Transfer Students
    • Pre-Tryout Clinic – Monday, July 13th (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.)
    • Tryout – Tuesday, July 14th (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.)
    • Tryout – Wednesday, July 15th (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.)

All tryouts will be held at the WDV GYM located at 201 N. Douglas St. El Segundo, CA 90245

Tryouts are CLOSED, student-athletes are only allowed.

The following two documents must be signed by you and your parent/guardian BEFORE you can try out.

      1.    Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form;
      2.    Wiseburn Da Vinci Volleyball Player Tryout Conduct Consent Form.

Please bring these completed forms to tryouts.

This includes a physician signed sports physical uploaded to Home Campus and approved by the Athletic Department prior to tryouts! Requirements
Must be able to swim at least 200 yards (8 laps) without stopping 
Must be able to swim all 4 strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle
Bring Swimsuit, Goggles, Cap and Towel

Girls Beach Volleyball – Make-Up Tryouts Announcement

Due to weather conditions cutting the original tryout short, Wiseburn Da Vinci Girls Beach Volleyball will hold a make-up tryout for all interested athletes.

📅 Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2026

⏰ Time: 4:15–5:30 p.m.

📍 Location: Dockweiler Youth Center Courts

  • 2025-26 Archery Information Meeting 

Archery Info Meeting Registration!

  • MANDATORY Safety Training
    • 9/9/25 or 9/10/25
    • 4-5:30pm
    • WDV Blacktop Basketball Courts – 201 N. Douglas

 

  • 2025-26 Archery Tryouts

    Only students athletes who participated in the safety trainings will be allowed to tryout.

    • Round 1: October 28th and Round 2: November 4th: DVD and  DVC 
    • Round 1: October 29th and Round 2: November 5th:  DV Connect Students and DVS Students    

    Two rounds of tryouts will be held using Olympic ranking criteria.

    Archers will be ranked based on their highest scores from both rounds.

    The top 20 archers will secure a spot on the team – sportsmanship and participation will also be taken into consideration.

    The remaining participants will be invited to try out again next year.

     

2026-27 Cheerleading Tryouts

WDV Cheer Tryout Process:
  1. Complete this google form 
  2. Attend one of the In-Person Tryout Registration dates and submit your color headshot, two semesters transcripts, and valid physical. 
  3. Attend all of the Tryout Clinics held on June 2nd, 2026 through June 5th from 5-7pm
  4. Attend the Final Tryout on June 6, 2026 at 10am
In-person Tryout Registration for Current DV Students: May 29th and June 1st from 3:30PM -5PM 
Potential athletes are required to register in person before attending clinics. Potential athletes can register at any point during the In-Person Tryout Reg period. Registration will confirm that potential athletes have a valid physical on file, color head shot, transcripts from two past terms, have completed online reg paperwork, and allow potential athletes and parents to meet coaches and ask questions. 
 
Clinics for Current DV Students: June 2nd, 2026 through June 5th from 5-7pm
Tryout for Current DV Students: June 6, 2026 10am, athletes dismissed after their tryout
Location: WDV Gym – 201 N. Douglas
Attire: Athletes are encouraged to wear all black athletic wear and white cheer/athletic shoes. 
Attendance: Attendance at all days of clinics and tryouts is mandatory. If you are unable to make tryouts due to an extenuating circumstance please reach out as soon as possible. 
*Remember a current sports physical is required to tryout. Physical information can be found here. 
 
Tryout for Incoming DV and Transfer Students:
Information to be announced soon!!!
 
Tryout Requirements: 
The skills that will be evaluated at tryouts are motions, stunting, dance, jumps, and overall performance value. Previous dance and cheer experience is welcomed but not required. Individuals will be holistically evaluated for a place on the team. 
Below is the list of materials that candidates will be taught and asked to perform for tryouts.
  1. Cheer: Candidates will be taught a sideline cheer.
  2. Chant: Candidates will be taught a chant and asked to showcase how they can engage the crowd.
  3. Jumps: Candidates will be asked to perform a toe-touch and a combination jump.
  4. Dance: Candidates will be taught a short pom or sideline style dance.
  5. Interview: Candidates will be asked a few questions regarding background, personality, cheer experience, etc.
